This article will provide you links to foundations and organisations that helps people affected by the war in Ukraine: transfer money, gives clothes and food, helps refugees find temporary or permanent shelter etc.

To start with, decide who you want to help: the refugees, the Ukrainian Army or people who remained in Ukraine. Volunteer organisations have set up accounts for each of these purposes. Below you can find information how to rise money for humanitarian aid in different countries.

Ukraine

This organization helps people in Kyiv with food, clothes and medicines. You can support the war victims with goods (you can leave an application on the website) or send money to the fund, and the volunteers will buy all the necessary things. 

Pomogaem Charitable Fund publishes monthly reports on their work. Urgent projects focus on Ukrainian refugees: they collect money for medicines, food, clothes, and psychological help. 

Ukrainian Red Cross has opened an account and is collecting money to help civilians. Follow this link to help.

Poland

Siepomaga.pl are collecting money for basic necessities: food, medicine, etc. These funds support people who are now in Ukraine or in Poland. They have already raised almost 20 million zlotys (about $4.5 million). Siepomaga is one of the first charitable foundations created in Poland. 

Polish Red Cross also collects money for things that are needed first: food, medicine, and bandaging materials. 

The website of the Ukrainian House in Warsaw has the info for another fundraiser organized by the Pomagam.pl and Nasz Wybór foundations. The latter was founded by Polish Ukrainians back in 2014. They promise to allocate funds responsibly and report exactly how the money was spent.

Germany

German Red Cross purchases basic necessities for Ukrainians who have temporarily settled in Germany.

MitOst is a Berlin-based association uniting more than 1,500 cultural, social, and political activists in Europe. They’ve already raised over a million euros to help Ukrainians. 

Aktion Deutschland Hilft is a German organization that helps war victims in Ukraine and also those who found refuge in Germany.

Slovakia

Človek v ohrození, part of the funds is used to support Ukrainians who have temporarily settled in Slovakia, the other part is sent to those who remain in their home country.  

The Red Cross helps on the Ukrainian-Slovakian border. They treat the wounded, provide refugees with whatever they need, and help people to look for missing relatives. 

Charita is a Catholic organization that has been working with the Donetsk department since 2014. They help Ukrainians who are now in their country, also support refugees.

Hungary

Hungarians created a Facebook group to coordinate all kinds of assistance:

  1. financial;
  2. humanitarian;
  3. psychological.                         

If you want to donate to Ukrainians in Hungary, write directly to the group administrators.

Romania

Romania created a Ukrainian Peace Fund. Donations are used to buy hygiene products and food. 100% of the money goes to trusted partners in crisis zones.

In this exceptional situation, Romanian United Fund and the Embassy of Romania to the United States have set up the Ukrainian Peace Fund to support health facilities with medicines and equipment, and support families of refugees with food and hygiene items.

Moldova

In Moldova you can donate to an organization that fights hunger. They have opened an account to help Ukrainians with basic necessities.  

More than 250,000 refugees have entered Moldova since the start of the conflict and around 100,000 remain in transit centres. The delicate situation in the nearby Ukrainian city of Odesa (the country’s third largest city) could end up overwhelming Moldova. Many are already arriving from the nearby city of Mykolaiv.
